This fabulous story is about three best friends. Iris has a secret that is so shocking that “she” can’t even believe it. Janine’s secret is causing her to be depressed and down and out. Twyla has a secret that has changed her life. Together the three best girlfriends must confront their own individual secrets and face one another as their secrets are revealed. Each of these women think that their own secret is worse than anyone else’s. But they are all affected in their own way with self-destructive behaviors and conduct.

Secrets by Olivia Ball is a fantastic story of hidden mysterious lives and the humiliation people experience when they have secrets that they don’t want to share-even to their own best friend.

I could relate, in different ways, to each character in this absorbing and thought-provoking read. I have heard it said that “a woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets.” That is what this compelling story made me think of.

The characters are all well developed and multifaceted. They are very realistic and appealing.

The plot is well written and flows nicely. With the characters interwoven within the storyline, I felt it was complex, yet easy to read.

Secrets is a fast paced enthralling story that many women will be inspired and able to relate to, in one way or another. I couldn’t put it down and read it straight through in one sitting. It was that good and enjoyable.

Olivia Ball has come up with a creative and original story that touches on the consequences we experience when we carry such secrets. And when we hide from others because we are too guilty and ashamed to let it out. I believe that Secrets has a very plausible plot and it is definitely a very pleasurable convincing read.

I recommend Secrets to women that like a little something different and a little peculiar.
